This position is for an individual with good communication skills as well as the ability to get along with coworkers and management. They must have a good understanding of multi spindle CNC lathes and G and M codes with experience in CNC programming and set up. This position will report to the production manager and will work with them to keep the shop and production running efficiently.

This position will have a heavy amount of prototyping and will require creative thinking as well as a good understanding of basic machining concepts.


  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Machine parts to specifications using CNC lathes.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines for various jobs.
  • Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products.
  • Observe and listen to CNC machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
  • General Maintenance on CNC machines as well as fixtures and tooling.
  • Confer with engineering and production manager to improve processes for manufacturing parts.


  • Completion of machining technical school or 3+ years of experience.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to set up and run single/multi spindle Fanuc controlled CNC turning centers as well as performing general maintenance and daily upkeep on CNC lathes.
  • Ability to read drawings and measure parts using hand tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Mastercam and Mazatrol experience is a plus.
