PPG is currently in search of Dealer Sr. Regional Sales Manager to join our Architectural Coatings business to lead a team of Dealer Representatives across a multistate territory driving revenue growth and market share.

Job Summary:

The Dealer Sr. Regional Sales Manager is a regional position with total responsibility for both sales and operations for both Dealer and Retail for assigned region including P&L, sales, cost to serve, safety and administration. This position will provide strategic direction to drive and achieve sales and profit objectives for the region while maintaining contact and building relationships with current and potential PPG customers.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Supervise recruitment, training and development of sales force, directly responsible for a team of dealer sales representatives, support and implement the P&LP process
  • Responsible for ensuring that region administration requirements are met duties include employee compensation, forecasting, credit, employee expense reporting, price quoting, sales tracking, sales reporting, automation, territory realignments, annual profit plan and complaint handling
  • Oversees the operation of up to 13 direct reports to ensure discipline and efficiency in sales and operations
  • Lead and monitor prospecting and competitive benchmarking activity in market
  • Implement standardized operating procedures and optimal processes reflecting both industry practice and the use of quality tools (Business Process Excellence, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Work directly with the business unit functions to provide field feedback on performance issues and customer requirements.
  • Enforce and maintain equal employment and ethical standards in accordance with PPG policy
  • Provide safe and healthy work environment by maintaining PPG standards with regard to employee and community safety, health and environmental issues
This role requires up to 80% travel within the territory Monday - Friday. Must possess a valid Driver's License.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma combined with a minimum of 10 plus years progressive sales, leadership, and operational experience.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in management and leadership of teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills are required to maximize profitable growth opportunities with key retailers
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in business or related field strongly preferred.
  • Well-developed organization and interpersonal skills to lead and develop the region
  • Ability to set strategic direction for the region and ensure vision is implemented by team
  • Previous experience working remote and managing a remote team desired.
