Infection Control: Full-Time

Coordinates comprehensive organization-wide infection surveillance, prevention and control program in accordance with current requirements of regulatory, government and accrediting/licensing agencies

and organizational policies and procedures. Duties include surveillance for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs); collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting surveillance data; outbreak investigation; and program evaluation. Responsible for the day-to-day infection prevention surveillance and data mining tools.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:


Education:

  • B.S. Degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, Medical Technology, or related field required. Related license or certification.
Licensure/Certification:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah or RN compact license from participating compact states.
  • Certification in case management, nursing, or utilization review preferred.
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic LifeSupport Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
Experience:
  • Two years of experience in clinical/patient care services or relevant health care position and/or public health.
